During your site visit we will assess the electrics at your venue/field site. If a generator is required we can manage the sub hire of appropriate equipment. You won’t need to worry about the power supply on your site as we will have everything in hand. Near the time of your event, we will liaise with all your wedding suppliers to ensure that we know exactly what power is required. This means that when your suppliers arrive on site all their power needs are met and in place already.
Some wedding marquee sites will need hired toilet facilities. Most people opt for luxury trailer toilets. These self-contained units come in different sizes depending on the number of guests at your event. Assessable/disabled units are also available. We have a range of suppliers that we can use to supply toilet facilities depending on your location. Once booked, we will liaise with them to ensure that their equipment is delivered to site when we are building the marquee. This way we can manage the installation and check any electrical supply.
If you are having a more festival style wedding with camping on site you may require additional toilets or shower units, we can talk through your requirements and get everything in place.
Easy Access / disabled units are also available. We use local suppliers who we have excellent working relationships with.
Don’t have a venue yet? Take a look at our wedding venue listings for Devon and Cornwall. From open fields to some beautiful hotels and country estates, there is plenty of choice. All the field sites we have listed have something rather special to offer. Many have spectacular coastal views which are always a popular choice. Get in touch to find out more. We are always happy to arrange a site visit so you can view any of the venues.
We think it is important that we install your marquee to give you plenty of time to decorate and set things up, just as you want it. With this in mind, we install our wedding marquees on Wednesday & Thursdays (sometimes Tuesdays, if we are really busy) leaving you Friday for florists/caterers and any other suppliers to get set up. We then will be on site to remove the marquee on Monday or Tuesday (sometimes Sundays, if we are particularly busy). We will always keep you up to date with our installation plans and if you have any particular access restrictions we can usually work around them.
There are many options to choose from when it comes to your wedding marquee layout. However, the best starting point is to decide what sort of catering you would like, and how you would like your day to work. Most couples opt for a seated dining and a dancefloor layout, but you might like to add a bit of extra space as a reception/bar area. This works well if you are having table service or buffet dining. If you are looking for a more informal day, you may decide that you don’t want a full dining area and would prefer fewer tables or perhaps several sofas for a more chilled seating option. Whatever your ideas, we can work with you to create the perfect space for your day.
Yes, yes, yes! Each year we supply a number of winter weddings and we love them. At this time, a legal marriage ceremony has to be undertaken in an appropriately licensed venue. However, each year we have a number of couples who choose to do the legal formality separately, prior to their wedding day, and then have a ceremony in their marquee with all their guests. A marquee wedding gives you the flexibility to have a ceremony outside if the weather allows, or under the cover of your marquee. Get in touch if you would like to discuss this how this could work for you.
When it comes to marquee hire getting the right size of marquee is key. If the marquee is too large, it can really impact on the atmosphere. This is the fun bit! Adding some decoration to the roof space of a clear roof marquee is really worth it. Hanging floristry, lanterns, roof drapes all add interest and atmosphere to the space. It is also worth thinking about the difference between day and night as naturally the space is going to take on a different ambiance in the evening.
Decorative lighting looks amazing in a clear roof marquee adding a subtle affect during the day and then a complete twinklefest by night! External MBI lights can be added to buildings and trees to create an interesting backdrop to the setting too.

One feature that often gets overlooked is that clear roofs and windows enable you to be connected with your surroundings, whether that is a view, building or gardens.
We love these marquees for this reason. We often get told by clients that they want to feel like they are outside with the security of a covering in case the weather isn’t perfect. Well, that is exactly what a clear roof marquee and clear windows gives you.
After all, you don’t want to miss out on that lovely view just because you can’t see through the walls of your marquee. Enjoy the views all day and night!

Yes, our clear windows are really easy to open up. Each window has a zip at each side which when undone allows the window to be rolled up. So it is really manageable to open and close windows on the day to allow air flow around the marquee.
We often get asked if we supply glass marquees and that’s probably because in some images you just can’t tell if it is glass or not! However, all our clear roof marquees are in fact a clear PVC.We have to take extra care with our clear roofs and windows. Therefore, after each marquee hire roofs and windows are completely cleaned – you can’t have any streaks interfering with a view!
Yes, a clear roof marquee can get hot but this can also be managed. Firstly, on a warm day the window walls can be rolled up to maximise air flow around the marquee. If the site is surrounded by tall trees or buildings this can also create some shade during the day. Otherwise you might want to consider the combination option where we supply a lined marquee over the dining area and then clear roofs for reception/bar/dance areas. It is all very workable so get in touch and we can chat through the options.

You can do as little or as much as you want when it comes to themeing your festival wedding. So how do you get that boho wedding vibe…take a look at a few of our ideas.
Instead of invitations send festival style tickets to guests.
On the day you could also provide guests with festival style personalised wristbands.
Signage is a great way to get that festival feel. Direct guests to the ceremony, chillout, camping, toilets with festival style signage.
Decorate with festoon lighting, bunting, ribbons and flowers to create a lovely festival atmosphere.
Add a glitter and face painting bar so that all your guests can get involved with a bit of festival style body glitter!
Firepits are a great way to chill out and enjoy the atmosphere.
Like all marquee weddings it is up to you to choose the style of catering you would like and festival weddings are no different.
You might still like to choose a table service menu with more of a festival theme. Alternatively you can opt for BBQs, Hog Roasts or festival style catering vans and where the choice of foods is endless. From falaffels, paellas, curries, burgers and pizzas you can choose from a range of foods from around the world!
Anyone feeling hungry right now?
You may want to incorporate additional props or furniture to give your venue a bit more of a festival feel. We have large array of supplier contacts from local farmers to supply hay bales to more specialist companies who have an amazing array of outdoor games, seating and festival style props.
So whatever you want to add to your day we can either source items for you, or point you direction.
Not really, it might take a little bit more thinking through as to how you want the layout to work for you. But essentially the list of ‘to dos’ is fairly similar as any other wedding. We can assist with additional services, should you need them, like camping toilets, showers. So really you can focus on all the fun stuff, like the decorating, music and choosing what you are going to eat!
Not at all, music is allowed! It is a wedding so of course you want to party and celebrate.
Check with your venue if there is a cut off time for music, as most venues will have one. At some of our field sites, there is a cut of time for music, but then they will allow a silent disco afterwards.
Yes, our hire is for the weekend with most weddings taking place on Saturdays. However, you will still be able to use the marquee on the Sunday too, enabling you to enjoy chilling out with family/friends and making the most of the weekend.
During a site visit we will chat through your ideas and talk about when we will install and take down the marquees. At this stage we will be able to make sure that we schedule timings to allow you to get in and decorate and add all the finishing touches.
At the present time you can’t get legally married in a marquee. However, many brides and grooms choose to do the legal ceremony before the wedding day and then have their official ceremony in the marquee or outside if weather allows on the day of their wedding.
